Solve the problems
If a child doesn’t understand an answer then don’t make him/her simply learn the answer. Try and solve the problem, no matter how long it takes.
Some problems can be ticklish. When you especially take some time out to teach your child, you do feel like skipping the time-taking slots. Understanding is a virtue hard to come by if you procrastinate. Teach your child in a way that he/she can attempt more questions of that sort. Even when the question is posed with a twist a child should be able to answer. When a child memorizes something mechanically then it is doing more harm to him/her. Instead of rote learning 10 answers in an hour, it is better to fully understand and attempt one.
