Fact: A toddler’s brain is twice as active as an adult’s brain.
A child’s brain is more active than an adult brain, this means there are chances that whatever a child learns at a young age would get absorbed in their spongy brain.
As the brain grows it forms connections called synapse. These transmit signals to different parts of the brain. In fact, as the child grows the capacity of the brain to make changes or form new habits decreases. This is because at the age of 11 children start losing connections that are not being used(this process is also known as pruning). Repeated actions received by the age of 12 tend to stay with them for the rest of their lives. The brain continues to grow for a few years after a person is born and by the age of 2, the brain is about 80% of the adult size.
